Where neuroscience
meets creative expression.

Creative Thinking School (CTS) and the Creative Minds Community Foundation (CMCF) turn neuro-education and emotional intelligence into free, culturally grounded programs for single parents, immigrant families, and neurodivergent youth in Calgary — and beyond.

The gap we work in

Mental health support wasn’t built with these families in mind.

Immigrant, single-parent, and neurodivergent families run into real barriers when they try to access mental health care — language, cost, and clinical approaches that don’t reflect their culture.

At the same time, new digital tools and AI are moving faster than the guidance parents get on managing screen time, early childhood development, or emotional regulation. Families are left to figure it out alone, which deepens isolation and pulls communities further apart.

Our approach

Two pillars, one ecosystem of trust

CTS–CMCF pairs a digital pillar with in-person, community-rooted programming — so mental wellness feels normal, accessible, and close to home rather than clinical and distant.

Digital Pillar

Single Parenting App

A dedicated platform offering psychological support, stress-management tools, and resource pathways for single parents — built to be private, judgment-free, and always within reach.

Community Pillar

Neuro-Education in Public Spaces

Workshops, library literacy programs, and academic talk shows embedded directly in civic life — from YMCAs to public libraries — so families encounter support where they already gather.

What’s next

Looking ahead

Launching the fully validated Single Parenting App across major app stores with bilingual resource directories, and hosting a February conference on youth resilience and digital wellbeing for policymakers, clinicians, and researchers. Under the newly founded CMCF, we’re formalizing clinical research partnerships with the University of Alberta to publish peer-reviewed outcomes on our neuro-education modules.
We’re seeking collaborators to help build out the full Single Parenting App experience, in partnership with our development team at Aronnok Roddur. If you build products for families, we’d like to hear from you.
Global live-broadcast masterclasses — like “How Nutrition Fuels Emotional Intelligence” with clinical psychologists and naturopathic doctors — alongside sensory-motor development workshops for neurodivergent youth. Every public event, from library programs to theatre performances, is designed as a low-barrier entry point that reduces stigma and invites families to explore their cognitive and emotional development comfortably.
